While wrinkles are a natural side effect of the aging process,
their appearance is distressing to many people.
There are a number of medical procedures that are effective as a
wrinkle remover.
You may choose to have injection treatments that have proven to
be effective as a wrinkle remover. The ingredients in these shots
are injected directly into the tissue that lies underneath the
wrinkle. These substances cause the skin to become smoother and
fuller looking, causing the wrinkle to disappear.
Collagen is one type of cosmetic injection that can remove
wrinkles. While this nutrient is naturally produced by the body, the
collagen that is used in cosmetic procedures is most commonly
extracted from cows and pigs.
Botox is another substance that is used in these injections, and
contains a form of the botulinum toxin. This ingredient can block
neural impulses to prevent muscle contractions, causing the skin to
relax and heal itself.
Restylane is a third type of cosmetic injection that is available
to remove wrinkles. This brand name injection consists of hyaluronic
acid, another natural element produced in the body. The injection
form is extracted form non-animal sources as well.
Another option that is available to you as a wrinkle remover is
having a face lift done. This procedure can be combined with facial
implants, soft tissue augmentation, injections, and/or resurfacing
techniques to give you the best results possible.
The surgeon simply places an incision in your hairline that runs
around the upper half of your face. He pulls the skin loose and
rebuilds the skin tissue that lies underneath. The doctor then pulls
the skin tight and cuts away any excess and reattaches the skin back
to its original location.
After a recovery period, your face will appear more youthful and
the wrinkles will have been removed.
Chemical peels may also be used as a wrinkle remover, although
these treatments will usually only diminish the wrinkle’s
appearance. Many over-the-counter products can also fade wrinkles
but they have not been proven to be effective in
removing them.
Surgery or medically administered injections are the most
successful as a wrinkle remover. Due to the high cost and added
risks associated with these procedures, you should discuss the
matter with your doctor to help you choose the method that best
suits your needs.
