Does the wrinkle cure really exist or is it just a myth that is
circulated by the various cosmetic manufacturers and the surgical
community to sell their products? Thanks to advances that have been
made in the field of cosmetic medicine, there are procedures
available that could be defined as the wrinkle cure, although the
majority of these have to be performed by a doctor.
The Face Lift
The wrinkle cure that is the most effective is the face lift. A
surgical face lift can literally turn back the hands of time and
take years off your appearance. The surgeon simply detaches the skin
around the upper half of your face. He then pulls it down so that he
can repair and rebuild the tissue underneath. The skin is then
pulled tightly back into place and reattached, with any excess being
trimmed away.
There are also non surgical face lifts available that require no
incisions. These types of face lifts involve the use of lasers,
radio frequencies (extreme heat), and small electrical currents.
The laser method uses a laser beam to resurface your skin and can
be used to build and firm the collagen matrixes (groups) that lie
underneath.
The heat method disorganizes the collagen particles that are in
these matrixes. As they reorganize, the molecules become firmer and
stronger.
The electrical method uses small electrical currents to stimulate
the skin’s production of collagen and elastin, which also promotes
firmness.
Chemical Peels
A chemical peel may also be the wrinkle cure. These chemicals are
applied to the skin and allowed to dry. Once they are set up, the
peel is removed along with old skin cells that have attached
themselves to it. The skin cells underneath are fresher and younger
looking. The deeper-penetrating versions of this treatment can
totally remove lines and wrinkles.
Injections
There are also a number of injections that you can have
administered that could be considered the wrinkle cure. Botox can be
utilized to block the neural impulses that cause facial muscle
contractions, allowing the skin time to heal itself. Collagen,
Restylane, and Juvederm can be injected to “plump’ the skin and
smooth the wrinkled areas out.
Buyer Beware
These are a few of the techniques that could be considered to be
the wrinkle cure. While many over-the-counter products claim to be
just as effective as these medical procedures and are successful in
diminishing lines, most of them are not capable of eliminating
wrinkles totally. For the ultimate wrinkle cure, a doctor will need
to be consulted.
