Many people in the world today are obsessed with reducing or
eliminating wrinkles. There are many methods to reducing wrinkles,
everything from wrinkle reducing creams to Botox.
What is generally overlooked is that you can have great looking,
wrinkle free skin by simply eating a healthy diet. However in the
world today, people expect instant results and do not want to wait a
long time to reduce wrinkle.
Botox is a relatively new procedure that can reduce the appearance
of wrinkles almost immediately. It is a way for someone to feel good
about their appearance, however it does require daily injections of
chemicals that are injected under the first few layers of skin. It
may surprise many people to find that the chemical in Botox is made
from a form of botulism. This type of toxin is safe to use and there
are no health risks at all.
When Botox is injected under the skin, it loosens the facial muscles
to give your skin a smoother appearance and makes wrinkles less
noticeable. Botox is not a cure for wrinkles, it is only a quick
fix.
Botox does not work for all types of wrinkles, only those that have
been caused by natural aging. If you have skin damage due to over
exposure to the sun, Botox will not help you. It will also be
ineffective if you have developed thick skin or have a specific skin
type. Your doctor will advise you if Botox is right for you. There
are several area of your face and neck where Botox can reduce the
amount of wrinkles that you have. If you have Frown lines or
wrinkles at the corners of your eyes, between your eyebrows and
bridge of your nose Botox can assist in the reduction of wrinkles.
Your physician will advise you if Botox would benefit you, however
because of the cost involved, he or she will also advise you of
alternative methods of wrinkle reduction. Over long periods of time,
Botox may become less effective especially if more wrinkles appear.
