Every woman wants radiant, wrinkle free skin. However, if you
don’t take care of your health, that is not going to happen. There
are some things you can do to delay aging skin. Here are the main
causes of wrinkles and what you can do to keep that young
complexion:
1. Poor diet and eating too much junk food. Healthy, young
looking skin starts from the inside. By eating a balanced diet,
including generous amounts of fruit and vegetables, you can delay
the affects of aging. Food that offers little in the way of vitamins
can’t nourish your skin.
2. Smoking. Besides the health risks you take by smoking, you
also add years to your face. Compare the skin of women who are the
same age and you will usually find that the smokers look older and
are much more wrinkled.
3. Lack of exercise. Again, healthy skin needs a healthy body.
Just a half hour walk each day will benefit you not only physically,
but also mentally.
4. Too much sun. Sunshine is good for us, but in moderation.
Since the sun’s rays are so much stronger now, it’s best to stay out
of direct sun between ten in the morning and three in the afternoon.
Wearing a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses are also good precautions.
And if you are a sunbather, be prepared for more wrinkles and
possible skin cancer.
5. Not drinking enough water. To keep your skin hydrated, drink
six to eight glasses of water every day.
6. Weathered skin. If your skin has been damaged from wind, cold
or the sun, use of a good wrinkle cream may help to minimize the
harm and moisturize your skin.
7. Alcohol. Other than red wine, which has a number of health
benefits, alcohol is bad for your body, inside and out.
8. Lack of sleep. Most people need about eight hours of restful
sleep every night. Otherwise, you face not only wrinkles, but bags
under your eyes. Not a pretty sight.
9. A negative outlook. One of the causes of wrinkles that many
people forget about is how we look at the world around us. Frown
lines, forehead creases from worry – these not only make you look
older, but cause you to appear stern and unapproachable. A smile
works wonders, both for your skin and for your life.
